Nike had the idea to simultaneously create a slow exposure image featuring of a group of runners in eight different cities. This would be used in a global social media campaign to showcase the efficacy of its reflective run wear range.
To achieve this effect the Xylobands team needed to program 16 transmitters to perform a specifically timed effect which slowly faded through a set of pre-set colours. Prior to the live events, a transmitter with 10 different pre-set timings out to Nike for them to conduct photography testing to ensure the best possible visual effect.
1,800 wristbands were used in events across eight countries. The colour scheme was easy to program with our extensive RGB parameters and we were able to control the fade speed to great effect.
