Xylobands — LED Wristbands for Events

Xylobands were invented in 2011 by Jason Regler, forever changing the way audiences experience live events. The inspiration came while Jason was watching Coldplay perform Fix You at Glastonbury Festival, close to his home in Somerset. As the lyrics “Lights will guide you home” echoed across the crowd, he imagined something extraordinary: every person in the audience becoming part of the performance through synchronised wireless LED wristbands. His vision was simple yet revolutionary. Instead of thousands of people holding up lighters or mobile phones, the entire audience could become one living light show, perfectly synchronised with the music. It would create moments of unity where artists and fans shared the same experience, allowing everyone to switch off from the outside world and become completely immersed in live music. Jason approached Coldplay and their management with the concept. They immediately recognised its potential, and together they helped bring the idea to life. Xylobands made their global debut on Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto World Tour in 2012, becoming one of the band’s most iconic visual trademarks and setting a new global standard for immersive live entertainment. Since then, Xylobands have become the original and world’s leading wireless LED wristband technology. More than 10 million Xylobands have been used at concerts, music festivals, sporting events, television productions, conferences, product launches, corporate events and weddings across the world.
